Allis Chalmers D 272
The Allis-Chalmers Manufacturing Co. of Milwaukee, USA started to produce tractors in 1914. They were famous for their Persia orange colour.
The Allis Chalmers D272 was built in Essendine, Lincolnshire, England from 1957 to 1960. I was available with either a 27.5 hp Allis-Chalmers gasoline or a Perkins Diesel engine. The D272 was the replacement for the D270 and was still basically a restyled Model B.
Optional factory fitted extras included electric starting (standard on diesel versions), belt pulley, live hydraulic linkage, power take-off, power adjusted rear wheels, road lights, radiator shutter and wheel weights.
This tractor is in good condition. The engine has not been tested running. Interested buyers are asked to form their own opinion about the condition of the tractor during the inspection.
Inspection and delivery by appointment only. Payment before delivery.
A tv documentary was made at the time that the collector, Ivar Christensen, Møn, was still alive.

This tractor comes from a private collection of 35 vintage tractors in Denmark from a now deceased collector. All tractors were purchased from the estate and taken to our warehouse in Skjød and sold from there.
