Ferguson TEA20
Ferguson TEA20 was built in Coventry, England from 1948 to 1956.
Before what became Massey Ferguson in 1953, there was just the Ferguson Company, headed by Harry Ferguson. In 1946, he introduced the TE20, a utility tractor considered to be his most successful design. It was manufactured until 1948 when it was replaced by the Ferguson TEA20.
The gray Fergusons are known in many parts of the world. The first TE20´s were made with a liquid-cooled Continental Z-120, 2.0 liter gasoline engine. Rated speed: 1750. In 1947 the standard engine replaced the Continental engine - and was then called the TEA-20. It was produced in Coventry, England.
Variants are TEC-20 (narrow), TED-20 (evaporative oil motor), TEE-20 (Narro-VO motor) and TEK-20 (vineyard).
The first had a bore of 80 mm and 23.9 hp. The later ones have a bore of 85 mm and 28 hp. The TEA-20 model was produced with either a 1.9-liter engine (up to serial number 172598, engine number 100204 in 1951) or a 2.1-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine.
It was only available in 4×2 two-wheel drive, has manual steering, differential mechanical shoe brake, and an open operator station for its cab.
Its tyres are sized 4×19 at the front and 10×28 at the rear. Its wheelbase measures at 177 cm. It is 292 cm long, 162 cm wide, and 132 cm high, with a ground clearance of 33 cm. Its operating weight is at 1,134 kg. Lastly, its front tread measures from 121 to 203 inches while the rear tread measures from 121 to 193 cm depending on the variant.
The first models were 6 volts, the later models were 12 volts.
Total built: 172,185.
